MOU MAJUPERAK HOLDINGS BERHAD AND SPIC ENERGY MALAYSIA BERHAD


Majuperak Holdings Berhad (MHB) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SPIC Energy Malaysia Berhad (SPIC Energy), a subsidiary of State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC), one of China’s top five electricity generation companies. MHB and SPIC Eenergy will jointly explore the development of ground-mounted and floating solar photovoltaic projects within the state of Perak. This collaboration is expected to substantially contribute to Malaysia’s renewable energy objectives.

The MOU was signed by Tn Syed Agil Syed Hashim, Group CEO of MHB and Mr Zhai Chuanxu, Director of SPIC Energy Malaysia Berhad. Witnessed by several Distinguished Guests from Malaysia and China including Malaysian Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, YB Chang Lih Kang, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Energy Technology Development Co Ltd, Mr Huang Dongsong, Perak State EXCO, Chairman for Science, Environment and Technology, YB Teh Kok Lim, Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak Chief Executive, Datuk Redza Rafiq Abdul Razak cum Executive Chairman of Majuperak Holdings Berhad and YB Howard Lee Chuan How, MP of Ipoh Timur and Invest Perak Executive Board Member.

This cooperation is another milestone for MHB in line with the 12th Flagship of Perak Sejahtera 2030 - Green Technology and aligned to the National Energy Transition Roadmap.

The ceremony was held during the China-Malaysia Integrated Intelligent Impactless Power Plant (3iPP) Development Forum held at Shangri-la Hotel, Kuala Lumpur earlier today.
